Architecture and nature are infinitely interconnected.

The natural topography of Serra de Sintra facing southward, as well as the marked undulation of Praia da Aguda, to the north, provide a paced rhythm. These striking features drive us to mimic the space that surrounds it, creating a direct interaction with nature.

Accordingly, a structure thought to react to the place by delicately following its contour emerges, a constructive mass connecting to the surrounding nature with an almost metamorphic outline.

Inside, there is a cadence of full and empty, fluidity and pause, just like in nature.

Small courtyards stand out due to the emptiness created.

Natural light floods the space through a system of windows on the roof and small interior patios. This creates a permanent game of light and shadow, making the interior space fully dynamic.

The chosen materials combine constructive elements and nature.

Through the emphasis on horizontality, the covered patios reinforce the sense of organic relationship with the site.

The use of concrete on the pavement provides a reflection of nature from the outside to the inside. Sliding doors connect the interior and exterior and allow controlling the air flowing inside.

Using these architectural methods, work becomes a connection between the constructed and the natural worlds.
