Each project focuses on the place and the way it connects with its surroundings. It aims at the creation of an atmosphere that fosters a direct connection between its residents and nature, resorting to perspectives, areas of contemplation or even materials.
This residential lot is part of a dense urban fabric, in a suburb of Paris.
With a rectangular shape and a pre-existing construction in a vacant state, it allowed a break, a pause in the urban rhythm.
The idea of creating a continuity in the urban fabric emerges. By unifying the heights of the surrounding buildings and creating a system of permeable access, passers-by feel a moment of fluidity and uninterrupted silence at street level.
The building consists of wide and functional apartments, trying to meet the demand for housing for small families.
At the top of the building, there is a common garden allowing everyone to enjoy a connection with the natural environment.
The materials used reflect those present in the surrounding area: concrete, stone and metal. By doing so, the building merges with its surroundings, as if with a perfect camouflage.
Panels of stone-like texture clad its façade. The entire floor is in concrete and both the railing and the lining of the bays are in dark grey lacquered metal.
