In a long and narrow lot, embedded in a densely urban area, in a place of forgotten history and tradition, three courtyard houses emerge.
They create a link between the urban and the natural, establishing a deep dialogue between them.
The conceptual intention of creating a single organism shaped in three volumes connected together, offers the illusion of a winding natural landscape.
The main road access acts as a guiding thread to the houses. This access connects the courtyards, creating a game of full and empty, of architectural mass and vegetation.
Large glazed windows open into the patios, fading out the difference between interior and exterior space. The constant contrast of materials is visible. The volumes built in concrete, contrast with the use of wood. Outside, the metallic frame contrasts with the use of stone.
Such contrasts also provide the combination of two opposites - the natural and the built - and their ability to cohabit in balance and harmony.
