The Crucifixo 15 project consists of the renovation of a building located in Lisbon’s Baixa Pombalina, within a highly significant historic and architectural urban context. 

The intervention aimed to preserve the original characteristics of the building, maintaining its exterior identity and restoring key elements of Pombaline architecture, such as the rhythm of openings, stone arches, and existing structural features. 

At ground floor level, two commercial spaces were integrated, contributing to the continuity of the street’s urban dynamics, while the upper floors were reorganised for residential use, creating T2 apartments. 

The intervention also included the introduction of a lift, ensuring accessibility and compliance with current requirements without compromising the building’s architectural reading. 

Internally, original elements such as flooring, doors, and high ceilings were preserved, reinforcing the character of the space, while contemporary solutions were introduced to ensure comfort and functionality. 

The project was developed with a focus on execution, ensuring compliance with the technical and regulatory requirements associated with renovation in a historic context. 

The result is an intervention that enhances the existing building, combining heritage preservation, residential use, and urban integration, with a pragmatic and construction-oriented approach.
