The Carme Living project was developed in Setúbal, within a dense and evolving urban context, with the aim of integrating a new building into the existing urban fabric, addressing its discontinuities and changes in level.

The proposal seeks to re-establish urban continuity by introducing a solution that reorganises existing connections and improves the relationship between the different levels of the surrounding context. 

The building adapts to the sloping terrain through a stepped volume, ensuring integration into the street and a natural transition between levels. 

The architectural language interprets the rhythm of the surrounding buildings through cantilevered volumes that balance presence and integration within the urban ensemble. 

The structure was designed to allow flexibility in the interior layout, enabling different typologies and future adaptations, always maintaining a connection to the exterior through balconies or terraces. 

The choice of materials responds to the urban context and performance requirements, ensuring durability, comfort, and reduced maintenance. 

The project was developed with a focus on execution, ensuring coherent, functional solutions adapted to construction reality. 

The result is a building that responds to a complex urban context, introducing continuity, flexibility, and residential quality, with a pragmatic and execution-oriented approach.
