Pinta Barris is an architectural project developed by MUTO for the creation of a rural boutique hotel in the Alentejo region, designed to offer an exclusive experience of tranquillity, privacy, and connection with nature. Inspired by the identity of the Alentejo landscape, the project reinterprets traditional architecture through a contemporary design language, where simple volumes, natural light, and a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape play a central role.
Set along the site's natural slope, the development is composed of eight independent buildings that follow the existing topography, minimising the visual impact of construction while enhancing its integration with the landscape. The hotel features 12 independent suites, each with a private garden and exclusive swimming pool, complemented by a shared pool and generous outdoor spaces designed to provide comfort, privacy, and well-being.
Developed through the integrated collaboration of MUTO's Architecture, Engineering, and Landscape Architecture teams, the project prioritises efficient construction solutions, durable materials, and a sustainable design approach, ensuring a high level of technical quality throughout every stage of development.
More than a hospitality project, Pinta Barris embodies MUTO's vision for creating distinctive developments where architecture, engineering, and landscape design work together to enhance the territory while responding to the evolving demands of high-quality tourism and hospitality investment in Portugal.
